Shown above are segmented images of the same spot (yeast cell-cyle data from Stanford database). First column contains fg/bg values from the stanford database. The second column shows fg/bg values obtained by editing a circular fit around the spot. The final column shows fg/bg values obtained by Chitraka's accurate spot tracing algorithms. The first two columns agree in values, implying circular tracing was used on Stanford data. FG-BG obtained from accurate spot tracing is almost 3 times greater than conventional approaches.
